On Saturday 18th & Sunday 19th June we were thrilled to have been invited to Le Tournoi's 11th annual Festival of Football!

Earsay experienced one-to-one coaching sessions from the Arsenal and Everton coaching teams and legendary goalkeeper Neville Southall MBE. Followed by an exhibition of, what can only be called "football wizardry" from champion freestyler Colin Nell!

Le Tournoi & Longueville Manor went onto further support Earsay by hosting an evening of football in the gorgeous grounds of Longueville Manor, where the Earsay children and young adults were able to further interact with the professional coaching teams and 'stars' - before rain halted play.

Neville Southall MBE (born 16 September 1958) is a former Wales international footballer, best known for his time with Everton. He's been described as one of the best goalkeepers of his generation and won the FWA Footballer of the Year award in 1985. He was awarded the MBE in 1995 for his services to football.

Southall joined Everton in 1981 and went on to make a club record 578 appearances in the Football League and Premier League (750 in all competitions) and helped the team to win a number of honours including the league championship and FA Cup on two occasions each and the European Cup Winners Cup. He also played internationally for Wales, winning a record 93 caps. Since his retirement as a player Southall has managed a number of non-league teams with little success and has coached the Welsh national youth teams.

Colin has enjoyed an outstanding career as a professional football freestyler. With his unbelievable skills, Colin has stunned and captivated crowds of all ages around the world. His talent with a football has led him to work alongside the biggest names in world football. Colin's football wizardry has been utilised in numerous high profile media campaigns and feature films.

Interactive live performances are Colin’s speciality, setting him apart from other football freestylers. His reputation as a showcase entertainer is exemplary and has become the freestyle of choice for major sponsors, brands, promotions and high profile events.

We owe huge thanks to Andy Le Seelleur and the team at Le Tournoi, and to Pedro and the team at Longueville Manor, for their hospitality - we just hope that the rain doesn't cut us short next year!
